Environmental has undertaken sediment sampling and analysis for potential
acid sulfate soils (PASS), organotins, heavy metals, pesticides and other
toxicants in south - east, central and northern Queensland, and undertakes
all sampling and analysis in accordance with relevant Commonwealth and State
protocols and guidelines.
Sediment sampling and analysis provides an indication of the physical characteristics, potential for acid sulfate generation and presence of contaminants. Sampling programs are most commonly undertaken pre-dredging or prior to site development.
FRC had undertaken cost-effective sediment sampling using a variety of apparatus, including grabs, push - and piston cores, vibra cores, grabs and traditional barge mounted drill rigs.
